We had a great stay at this luxurious 4-star hotel. The location was excellent, with plenty of nearby attractions and a safe area. The hotel offered a range of services to enhance our comfort, including room service, car hire, and 24-hour room service. We also appreciated the option of bicycle hire and the help of the friendly bell staff/porter. The availability of medical facilities and laundry services was a bonus for our convenience.

We highly recommend this hotel to all.

Very pretty small hotel. Stunning neighborhood. Two blocka from the 500 year old wall and from the ocean. Staff very helpful. Breakfast is at a large table in the patio, so you get to know the other guests. very little street noise in our room (#3). We stayed two weeks in January 2013 and if we go back we would stay there without question.

A number of people came to the door with reservations, but were told there were no rooms available, and were shuttled (often very unhappily) to other hotels in the same group. l don't imagine this happens as much in less busy times of year.

the location and the safety of the area

this hotel is a disaster, we were told a standard king bed, it ended up having two twin beds pushed together with pillows shoved inbetween to make it appear as if it was one bed. the 1 sheet wasn't fitted so in 10 minutes i was laying on a bare mattress. there were only two pillows, and one sheet covering the bed, no blankets, nothing.. a complete joke. We asked for an iron, they didn't have one. No one in the hotel knew anything. The hotel front door is locked for security reasons. One must buzz a doorbell to enter. I departed the last evening of my stay around 11:30 pm to go enjoy my last night in Cartagena and have a drink or two. I returned no later than 1 am and continued to buzz the bell for about half an hour. I then proceeded to bang on the door loudly, two police officers walking by asked me what i was doing. I explained i was locked out of the hotel i had paid for. The hotel across the street saw this and said they had vacancy. I was absolutely livid at this point. I then tried to think of a way to vault the building. At 46 years old this was probably not a good idea. After continued banging and ringing, my friend who was sleeping heard all this and somehow got the front door open and let me in. This is third world accomodations at best. Im still furious as a write this. The next morning no one knew anything and "someone else" was in charge of the door that night.. A total lie and a sham. Don't waste a dime of your money here. The glossy well designed exterior is a front for a low class dump. There are no amenities, hardly any hot water and we were given two musty old towels for a two day stay. Nothing was changed or replenished. My worst days as a college student in a frat house were spent in more luxury than this dump could ever offer. It is so bad that it actually looks like a front for something else. Has anyone involved here every taken a hospitality course? Im still perplexed by the situation.

The location of this hotel is hard to beat! It's situated in a safe area and is in close proximity to many popular tourist attractions which makes it easy to see everything you want to see. The staff was friendly and very helpful, always willing to offer suggestions and help to make our stay more enjoyable. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked really well which was a saving grace in the hot weather!

That the bed wasn't the most comfortable - it was actually two twin beds pushed together which made it a little lumpy. the sheets didn't fit properly so it wasn't the most restful night's sleep.

The area around the hotel felt safe and secure, which was a relief. The location couldn't be beat either, as we were in walking distance to a lot of great attractions. The hotel also offered us two very key amenities: hot water and towels. It was nice to have access to these things, even if they were minimal.

Our stay at this establishment was far from enjoyable. The bed situation was a complete mess - two twin beds pushed together and covered with one sheet and two flat pillows for two people to share.

We loved the hotel's cleanliness and its well-maintained facilities. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. The location was perfect as it provided easy access to transportation and the city's attractions. Additionally, the breakfast provided a wide variety of options to suit different tastes.

    Nothing bad to say.

The hotel is located in a safe and convenient area. It is close to various attractions and provides a sense of security with the locked front door. The rooms are cozy and come with comfortable twin beds, although some guests would prefer a standard king bed. The hotel lacks some amenities like an iron, but the staff is knowledgeable and can assist with any inquiries. It offers a well-designed exterior that creates a pleasant ambiance.

The hotel lacks some basic amenities such as blankets and extra pillows, causing inconvenience for guests in need of additional comfort.
